Prepare For Your Appointment

Appointments & Referrals
Appointments can be made by calling our main office at (614) 451-1551. New patients are encouraged to arrive 15–20 minutes before their scheduled time to complete new patient paperwork.
We make every effort to see patients who are ill on the same day. If our schedule is full, we may arrange an appointment for you at the same-day center on the first floor. For added convenience, we also have a phlebotomist on staff for laboratory needs. If labs are not performed during your visit, you are welcome to schedule directly with her at a later time.

Prescription Policies and Information
We offer a 24/7 automated voicemail line for prescription refill requests. Using this line helps reduce call volume and minimizes hold times for everyone. When leaving a message, please include:
• Your name (with spelling) and date of birth
• A daytime phone number in case we need to reach you
• Your doctor’s name
• Your pharmacy’s name, location, and phone number
• The name of the medication (with spelling), strength, and how often you take it
• The number of days’ supply you need (30 or 90 days)
If you prefer not to use the automated line, we are always happy to take refill requests by phone.
Please allow 24–48 hours for prescription refills, including requests left on weekends. Requests submitted on a Saturday or Sunday will typically be completed by Tuesday.
Prescriptions and refills are usually handled during scheduled office visits, and medication is prescribed to last until your next appointment. If you run out of medication, it may be a sign that it’s time to schedule a follow-up visit. Patients must be seen annually for routine medication refills. Please note that there is a $10 refill fee for prescription requests made without an appointment.
If your insurance plan requires a prior authorization, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary form for your physician to complete. While we do our best to help patients navigate prescription benefits, insurance plans are contracts directly between patients and their insurance companies.
Changing Pharmacies or Using Mail Order
Ohio law allows non-expired prescriptions to be transferred between pharmacies without interruption. However, many mail-order pharmacies require new written prescriptions. If you would like to switch pharmacies before your next routine visit, you may:
1. Make an appointment to see the doctor for repeat refills
2. Wait until your next regular visit
3. Pay a fee for the physician to review your chart and rewrite the prescription (to be picked up at the office)
Please note that lost prescriptions for controlled medications (such as pain medications or sleep aids) cannot be replaced.

Late Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we're here to help.

To keep appointments available for all patients and reduce wait times, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make your scheduled visit.

What Counts as a Late Cancellation or No-Show?

Late Cancellation: Canceling or rescheduling your appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled time.

No-Show: Missing your appointment without notifying us at least 24 hours in advance.

Fees for Missed Appointments

Appointments not canceled at least 24 hours ahead of time will incur a $25 fee.

Please note: This fee is not covered by insurance and will be billed directly to you.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment in any of the following ways:

  • MyChart: If you're enrolled, you can cancel or reschedule anytime through your account.
  • Call the office: If we're unable to answer, please leave a voicemail with your full name, date of birth, appointment date/time, and the reason for cancellation.

Helpful Reminder

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and any necessary paperwork. This helps us stay on schedule and ensures your visit runs smoothly.
